The situation:
The recent periods of disruption brought on by the pandemic, cost of living crisis, and economic business uncertainty, have seen staff around the world both flourish and struggle with confidence, morale, their mental health and how they collaborate.
As organisations try and meet the ever evolving challenges of modern work, key talent and leadership teams need to embrace and manage structural and business change.
Staff support tools:
Executive Coaching is a powerful, bespoke, and incredibly effective tool for all levels or talent within an organisation to talk through what is important to that individual and what is being asked of them to excel.
Recent coaching topic trends have shown the increasing need to offer unique and targeted support to individuals working through the concerns of the return to the office and the need to enhance their communications both internally (up & down with direct reports) and externally with clients and business partners.
Why it works:
A session with a professional coach will be a skilled and focused conversation that will challenge and support staff and enable them to raise concerns, challenges and doubts and work through them through deep listening and questioning with the use of perspectives, positioning, and framing/re-framing of the opportunity ahead.
All coaching is confidential so coachees can really open up in a way they often can’t at work. Professional coaches sign up to the International Coaching Federation’s Oath (& company NDA’s too). This allows for key talent to raise and work through subjects such as concerns, doubts, fairness, appraisals/reviews, and confidence/imposter syndrome in a way that they might not want to raise with line managers or senior members of staff.
Most importantly though, it allows the space to work through and advance key goals and KPI’s given to them as part of their annual plans.
Coaching as an investment has been proven in studies to have a 6x ROI, improving many areas including:
- Loyalty
- Effectiveness in role
- Increased morale
- Job satisfaction and performance
- Improved communication skills
- Drives positive momentum
- Lowering of staff churn
- Smarter goal setting
- Conflict resolution
- Positive mental health
Individual support and 1:1 coaching is a significant investment with typical cost per session corporate rates ranging from £600-£1,200+ per session. Whilst it has a proven positive ROI, our solution to companies such as TikTok, Dentsu International and WPP is a volume-based day rate costing to bring down the cost per session and scaling the support to specific teams (Leadership teams, SLTs, Managing Partner groups), or sometimes whole departments (e.g., 72 sales and marketing individuals at TikTok were coached by Lee Hawkins Coaching in the 2nd half of 2022).
Staff can discuss anything that is on their mind, professional or personal. Their targets, self-doubt (every level has this), returning to the office, organisational change, conflict, personal family matters etc. all in a safe personal space.
What does it look like? Your in-house coaching support & development days:
A series of one hour back-to-back coaching sessions offering the opportunity for up to six staff in a day to receive professional executive coaching support. This is hosted internally at your organisations offices and can be seen as an added benefit to returning to the workplace.
Day rate investment amounts:
Investment | Daily cost |
1 day a month purchased | £ASK ME + VAT per day |
2 days or more per month | £LOWER + VAT per day |
The cadence of coaching is always unique to the individual or organisation.
Here is how it could look (but let’s chat about something bespoke):
1) One to many: “Lee Hawkins Coaching: Support Drop-ins”.
Your coach supports a large group on a pre-selected or first come first served basis. Think of this like being a doctor’s surgery where people come in for support on a host of challenges and issues.
2) Coaching a select group:
Key talent, SLT (Senior Leadership Team), High Performance Talent, Graduate/Early Career support etc.
For example, coaching a team of 12 in a Senior Leadership team, could be achieved by 2 days a month coaching days purchased, across six months (2 x days, x 6 months = 12 days).
If coaching a specific group over a number of sessions, this would also include a bespoke questionnaire at the beginning, detailing out goals for coaching to be delivered including alignment to the organisation’s culture, values, business goals/KPIs given to the employee, their career goals, and individual personal goals.
